Latina Lista

Latinalista.net stands out among its peers in that it’s not simply a news aggregator,  but a publisher and  leader of news and information servicing Hispanic communities.  EGMN is proud to be part of an influential partnership dedicated to raising the bar of journalism from a Latino perspective.

Since 2004, Latina Lista has grown from a single-page blog with the tagline “A Viewpoint on Anything and Everything from a Latina Perspective “ to a nationally recognized site known as “The Smart News Source.”

Latina Lista has created a community of regional partners: English-language Hispanic-owned newspapers and wire services, college journalism departments and online news sites servicing predominantly Hispanic communities that all agree with our goal of sharing the voices, experiences and stories of Latinas/os with a wider audience.
 
 

Rumbo

Rumbo is one of the premier Hispanic news publications in Houston and the number one Hispanic news network in Texas, and EGMN is proud to be a content provider to such an innovative company. EGMN’s students help provide Rumbo with exceptional editorial news content for print and online.

The newspaper was recently acquired by Impremedia, which gives the company a presence in seven of the top ten Hispanic markets.
 
 

HAHMP

The Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals provides EGMN with mentors, training workshops and provides an opportunity for our students to network with professionals in the Houston area. Every year HAHMP gives out 10 scholarships to college students looking to enter the media field. In the past two years EGMN students have received 40% of the awards.

Through HCC TV, HAHMP has partnered with EGMN to produce Houston on the Move. A community affairs show which features individuals and organizations that are making a difference in Houston.
